The 4th St. James Pilgrimage to Jerusalem is underway! Our pilgrims had a busy weekend, starting their tour at the Mount of Olives with a beautiful panoramic view of the city. They visited the Garden of Gethsemane, the tomb of Lazarus, and more.
On Sunday morning, the group attended Divine Liturgy at the Church of Gethsemane where the tomb of the Virgin Mary is located. After services, requiem prayers were offered for the loved ones of the pilgrims. The pilgrims then visited the Armenian Patriarchate and enjoyed an audience with His Beatitude Abp. Nourhan Manougian.
After the audience with the Patriarch, the group was given a unique opportunity to visit St. Toros chapel and see medieval Armenian manuscripts. In the afternoon, the group attended Vespers Service at St James Armenian Cathedral.
