A Special Announcement

We are pleased to announce that our St. James St. Sahag & St. Mesrob Armenian School is joining forces with the Erebuni Armenian School, forming the St. James Erebuni Armenian School.  The new school will offer both Eastern and Western Armenian language instruction to over 100 students.

The Erebuni Armenian Saturday School was founded in 1988 by a group of patriotic parents interested in perpetuating the Eastern dialect of the Armenian language. The staff creates a fun environment to teach the kids. The Armenian language and culture are taught not only in the classroom settings but also through music, choir, dance, poetry, games and theatre. Chess Classes are also offered.

Erebuni prides itself on its warm family environment, where the students are excited and look forward to see each other every week.  All the teachers at Erebuni have higher education degrees in either Armenian Language, Literature, or History.

Meet Our Principal

Armine Manukyan was born in Armenia into a family of educators, and has had a passion for education her entire life.  She graduated from Yerevan State University with a Master's Degree in Education and Human Development, and received her second Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from UMASS Boston. She is also a licensed Principal with the MA Department of Education. Armine became Principal of the Erebuni Armenian School in 2008, after volunteering for many years.  We welcome her and the entire Erebuni School faculty to St. James and look forward to working with them.

Words of Gratitude

We extend our appreciation to our past Principal Marina Minasian, who served the St. Sahag & St. Mesrob School for 10 years.  We thank her for her dedication and service to our youth, and for her work in perpetuating the Armenian Language and Culture.
