Holy Week is the sacred commemoration of the dramatic events leading to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, His victory over death and the redemption of humanity and the fallen world. The Armenian Church re-enacts these episodes in the days leading up to Easter.

EASTER OFFERING - YUGHAKIN
During this Lenten period as we prepare for the glory of Christ’s Resurrection, we ask our parishioners to remember St. James during this holiest of seasons. It is customary in the Armenian Church to provide Yughakin (meaning "price of oil") especially around the feasts of Christmas and Easter.
