FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION AND BLESSING OF GRAPES
SUNDAY, AUGUST 18

The Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God (Asdvadzadzin), one of the five major feasts of the Armenian Church, commemorates the bodily ascent of the Virgin Mary (assumption) into heaven by her son Jesus Christ after her death.

Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the Blessing of Grapes Service. Donations of grapes for the service are gratefully accepted. Those who wish to make a donation are asked to contact the church office.

In accordance with the canons of the Armenian Church, Requiem Services will not be performed on this day. Requests for Requiem Services may be made for the following Sunday, August 24.
